Frequently Asked Questions

What do you know about my industry?

MNSA is primarily devoted to best practices in channel marketing, channel and partner management and go-to-market strategies (from formulation through to field implementation) across industries. Not surprisingly, today many of these companies are technology-based organizations and tend to be in the IT sector, such as IBM, Sun Microsystems, Compaq, HP, Oracle, Canon, their business partners, and several of the telecom companies.

However, our unique methodology allows us to work equally successfully with IT, telecommunications and petrochemical companies, medical instrumentation firms, coffee and confection, automotive, silk, and many B2B organizations. More than 250 years of consolidated expertise has demonstrated that we can leverage our experience and that problems faced in one industry are often relevant and applicable to other seemingly unrelated industries. In particular, the use of IT to develop new ways of bringing products and services to market - pioneered in the IT industry by such companies as Dell and Cisco - has gained significant acceptance in other industries. Thus, our cross-industry experience allows us to transfer best practices from one industry to another.

Increasingly, we are consulting to a range of organizations now confronted with innovation "shocks" typically originating from outside their own industries such as the innovation of e-commerce and other e-applications.

Does MNSA work with startups or early stage companies?

Yes. Our practical experience and client list range from start-ups and new-to-region to Fortune 500/Global 2000 companies including Novartis, DuPont, GE, IBM, Sun Microsystems, and Canon. See our client list for details.

Does MNSA serve clients whose business issues are international?

Yes. We are international, with headquarters in Belgium, and very well versed with European markets, our home base, and the U.S. We have consulted with several organizations in the Asia/Pacific region, Middle East and Gulf States, Latin America and South Africa. In addition, many of our consultants are physically located in different countries.

Do you send a team to my company?

Each project typically has unique requirements, but we favor what we call "facilitated consulting" led by a MNSA principal or Account Manager (see "How We Do It" and "What We Do"). If warranted, we will form an appropriate team. Team members are brought in to provide expertise, and not to "surround" the client with consultants.

Does MNSA do market research?

MNSA undertakes market research tasks in connection with its strategic business planning projects, such as new market development, etc. Where this requires extensive on-site sampling, focus groups, BtoC surveys, etc., we partner with a locally based company to get the best results in the particular area.

Does MNSA tailor-make or offer seminars and workshops?

MNSA creates and designs its own workshops. All in-company seminars and workshops are customized to meet client requirements. From time to time, MNSA also offers public seminars on its own and in collaboration with other professional organizations. See "What We Do" and inquire about our educational curriculums for further details.

What does a project typically cost?

The cost of a project varies by the scope and complexity of the assignment. We have fixed fees for short projects (per hour, per day), and for general management consultancy tasks, such as strategy and document reviews. Short-term assignments may cost a few thousand dollars. For longer-term and more complex projects involving seminars, workshops, field work, and similar, we quote to Statements of Work. Direct expenses for travel, lodging, meals, etc., are charged separately. See "How We Do It". For more details, please contact us.
